In June 2019, Helen Verhelst (°1995) obtained with distinction the degree of Master of Laws at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
During her Master years, she specialised in international and European law, with a particular focus on human rights. This was further explored during an extensive field study on the operation of Shell in certain areas in Nigeria, as well as through various legal summer internships, e.g. at Child Focus. Her preference for the human side of law is thereby perfectly expressed in family law and criminal law.
On 2 September 2019, Helen Verhelst was submitted to the Bar of Antwerp and joined the team of Du Mongh Lawyers.
